The Goldberg Variations J S Bach

The Goldberg Variations are considered by many to be the pinnacle of Bach’s output for keyboard. This mercurial set of variations was brought back into prominence by Glen Gould’s extraordinary 1955 recording on the piano.

For this concert we will hear them played on the instrument Bach intended them to be performed on, by the equally extraordinary David Wright. David has toured the world with Red Priest and is recognised as one of the finest harpsichordists in the country.
